Switchboard maintenance
A switchboard nobody has mapped, labelled or tested costs you time on the day something fails. We offer a full switchboard service regime for factories, schools, medical and aged care sites and commercial buildings, so your boards are documented, labelled, tested and safe.
Distribution maps
We trace your site's electrical distribution from the supply point through every main switchboard, sub-board and distribution board and produce a clear map and single line diagram of what feeds what. Essential for isolation planning, safe shutdowns and solar and battery design.
Legends and labelling
Every circuit identified, tested and labelled with a proper legend card, so the right breaker can be found and isolated in seconds, and your records match what's actually on the wall.
Thermal imaging
Infrared scanning of live switchboards to find hot joints, overloaded circuits and failing connections before they cause an outage or a fire. Reported with thermal images and recommended actions.
RCD testing
Push-button and trip-time testing of safety switches to AS/NZS 3760, with a test record for each device, tagging, and a schedule for the next round.
Scheduled program
Annual or six-monthly visits covering thermal scans, RCD tests, connection checks, legend updates and a written condition report, so you always have current records for insurers, auditors and WorkSafe. Book a switchboard assessment.

Are you a licensed electrical contractor?
Yes. My Electrical Services Pty Ltd is a Registered Electrical Contractor in Victoria, REC 20716, and every job is carried out by licensed electricians. A Certificate of Electrical Safety is issued for all prescribed work.

We're based in Keysborough and cover Melbourne's south-east, including Greater Dandenong, Kingston, Bayside, Glen Eira, Monash, Stonnington, Casey, Cardinia and Frankston, as well as the Mornington Peninsula. Do you do commercial and industrial electrical work?
Yes. Commercial and industrial work is a core part of what we do: factories, schools, medical and aged care facilities, offices and retail. This includes switchboard upgrades, three-phase power, machinery connections, lighting, data and communications, fire alarm systems and ongoing maintenance contracts.
Do you install solar and batteries?
Yes. We design and install grid-connected solar PV, home and commercial battery storage and backup systems, and EV chargers. We also service and maintain existing solar systems, including inverter fault-finding, panel cleaning and inspections. See our solar, battery and EV page.
Can you map and label my switchboards?
Yes. We produce electrical distribution maps and single line diagrams showing how power flows from the supply point through every switchboard on your site, and we test and label every circuit with a proper legend. This is usually the first step in a switchboard maintenance program.
Do you offer thermal imaging of switchboards?
Yes. We carry out infrared thermal imaging of live switchboards to identify hot connections, overloaded circuits and failing components before they cause a breakdown or fire. You receive a report with thermal images and recommended actions.
Do you do RCD (safety switch) testing?
Yes. We test RCDs by push button and trip time in line with AS/NZS 3760, record the results for each device, and set up a testing schedule so your site stays compliant.
Do you offer ongoing maintenance contracts?
Yes. We run scheduled maintenance programs for commercial and industrial sites covering switchboard thermal imaging, RCD testing, emergency lighting, solar system servicing and EV charger maintenance, with a written report after each visit.
Do you do residential electrical work?
Yes. We handle switchboard and safety switch upgrades, rewiring, lighting design, power points, ceiling fans, smoke alarms, EV chargers and solar for homes across the south-east and the Mornington Peninsula.
