We start by looking at your bills, your roof and your switchboard. Then we design a system that covers your daytime load, leaves room for a battery or EV charger later, and meets AS/NZS 5033 and AS/NZS 4777 without shortcuts.

Not every battery keeps the lights on in a blackout. If backup matters to you, we map your switchboard, split off the circuits that need to stay live, and design the system around them. That's the same distribution-mapping work we do for large sites, applied to your home or business.

EV chargers
From a single home charger to a managed bank of chargers for a fleet or car park.
We check your supply and switchboard capacity before recommending a charger, so you get the fastest charging your site can support without tripping the main switch. For workplaces and apartment buildings we install load-managed systems so several vehicles can share one supply.

Solar servicing and repairs
Already have solar? We look after it, whoever installed it.
Inverter faults, failed DC isolators, dirty panels and shading all quietly eat into your output. We diagnose and repair, clean panels safely, and for commercial sites we run a scheduled maintenance program with a written report after each visit, including thermal imaging of the solar switchboard and inverters.

How much does solar cost in Melbourne?
It depends on system size, roof type and the inverter and panels you choose. A typical home system is 6.6 to 13 kW; commercial systems are sized to your daytime load. We quote each job after looking at your bills, roof and switchboard, and we show you the rebates you're eligible for so you see the real out-of-pocket cost.
What rebates are available for solar and batteries in Victoria?
Most systems attract federal Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs), which come off the price up front. Victorian households may also be eligible for a Solar Victoria rebate or interest-free loan, and a federal battery rebate applies to eligible home battery installations. Eligibility and amounts change, so we confirm what applies to you when we quote.
Can I add a battery to my existing solar system?
Usually yes. Depending on your inverter we can add an AC-coupled battery to almost any system, or replace the inverter with a hybrid unit. We also check your switchboard has the capacity and protection needed before we start.
Will my solar and battery keep the power on in a blackout?
Only if the system is designed for backup. A standard grid-connected system shuts down when the grid fails. We design battery systems with a backup circuit so your essential loads, such as fridge, lights, internet and medical equipment, keep running. We map your switchboard first so we know exactly what will be backed up.
Do you install EV chargers at home and at work?
Yes. We install single-phase and three-phase EV chargers for homes, apartments, workplaces and fleets, including load management so several chargers can share one supply. We assess your switchboard and supply capacity before we recommend a charger.
Can you service or repair my existing solar system?
Yes. We diagnose inverter faults, isolator failures and panel problems, clean panels and carry out periodic inspections. We also offer scheduled solar maintenance for commercial sites, with a written report after each visit.
Are you licensed to install solar and batteries?
Yes. My Electrical Services Pty Ltd is a Registered Electrical Contractor in Victoria (REC 20716). All solar, battery and EV charger work is carried out by licensed electricians and a Certificate of Electrical Safety is issued for every installation.
